  • 1 tsp chopped fresh thyme (optional)
  • ½ tsp smoked paprika (optional)
  • 4 lemon wedges, for serving

Instructions

  1. Prep the lobster tails: Cut through the top of the shell lengthwise with kitchen shears. Gently pry open the shell and lift the meat to rest on top, attached at the base (butterflied method).
  2. Make the lemon-garlic herb butter sauce: Melt butter. Stir in lemon zest, grated garlic, smoked paprika, salt, pepper, parsley, and thyme. Let sit to infuse.
  3. Preheat and brush: Preheat your air fryer to 380°F (193°C). Baste the exposed lobster meat generously with the butter sauce. Reserve about one-third for serving.
  4. Air fry: Place lobster tails in the air fryer basket, not touching. Cook for 5-6 minutes, or until the meat is opaque, white, and firm. Aim for an internal temperature of 140-145°F (60-63°C).
  5. Serve immediately: Remove lobster tails, drizzle with reserved butter sauce, and serve with lemon wedges.
