Bangers and Mash Pie is a comforting twist on a classic dish that combines savory sausages and creamy sweet potato topping.

- 6 pieces Sausages (any favorite sausages, including beef or organic options)
- 2 tablespoons Olive Oil (or vegetable oil)
- 1 cup Onions (chopped; shallots can be used)
- 2 cloves Garlic (minced; garlic powder can be used as substitute)
- 1 cup Celery (chopped; optional)
- 1 teaspoon Thyme (fresh; dried can be used)
- 1 cup Tomato Sauce (homemade or canned)
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce (or soy sauce as substitute)
- 1 cup Beef Stock (or vegetable stock)
- 2 tablespoons Cornflour (or arrowroot as alternative)
- 1 cup Frozen Peas (or fresh peas)
- 4 pieces Sweet Potatoes (or white potatoes)
- 4 tablespoons Butter (or olive oil for dairy-free)
- 1/2 cup Milk (almond or oat milk for dairy-free)
- 1 cup Cheese (Tasty) (cheddar or vegan cheese)

Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat. Cook the sausages until browned on all sides, about 5 minutes, then slice and set aside.
- In the same pan, add onions, garlic, celery, and thyme. Sauté for 4-5 minutes until softened, then stir in the tomato sauce, Worcestershire sauce, stock, and cornflour mixture. Simmer until thickened, about 10 minutes. Add sausages and peas.
- Set your oven to 220°C (200°C fan-forced) so it’s ready when you’re assembled.
- Boil the sweet potatoes in a large saucepan until tender, about 15 minutes. Drain, then mash with butter, milk, and cheese. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
- Spoon the sausage mixture into a 9-cup ovenproof dish. Top with the creamy mashed sweet potatoes, swirling for texture, and sprinkle with remaining cheese.
- Place the assembled pie in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes until golden and bubbling.
