Ingredients

  • 3 cups apples (peeled and chopped)
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch

Instructions

  1. In a large bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt. Cut in cold butter until crumbly. Gradually add ice water until dough forms.
  2. Chill the dough in plastic wrap for at least 30 minutes.
  3. In another bowl, combine apples with lemon juice, sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and cornstarch.
  4. Roll out dough to 1/8-inch thickness; cut into circles.
  5. Place filling on half of each circle, fold over and seal edges with fingers or fork.
  6. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden brown.
