Description

Festive Christmas Pretzel Rods are a fun and easy holiday treat perfect for gifting or serving at parties. These rods are dipped in colorful candy coatings and decorated with holiday-themed sprinkles for a crunchy, sweet, and salty delight.

Ingredients

  • Pretzel rods – 20 rods
  • Brown candy coating (milk chocolate morsels or chocolate almond bark) – 1 cup
  • White candy coating (white chocolate morsels or vanilla almond bark) – 1 cup
  • Green candy coating – 1 cup
  • Red candy coating – 1 cup
  • Assorted sprinkles – 1/2 cup total (Confetti Holly Mix, mini M&M’s, Wilton Holiday Nonpareils)
  • Wilton Christmas Snowflake Sprinkles – 1/4 cup
  • Crushed peppermint – 1/4 cup

Instructions

  1. Melt each candy coating (brown, white, green, and red) separately using the microwave or a double boiler until smooth and creamy, ensuring not to overheat to prevent burning.
  2. Holding a pretzel rod by one end, dip it halfway into the melted candy coating of your choice. Gently tap off any excess coating.
  3. Immediately sprinkle the dipped pretzel rod with your choice of assorted sprinkles including mini M&M’s, holiday nonpareils, snowflake sprinkles, or crushed peppermint before the coating sets.
  4. Place the decorated pretzel rods on a parchment-lined baking sheet or cooling rack to let the coating harden completely at room temperature, which usually takes about 30 minutes.
  5. Repeat the dipping and decorating process with the remaining pretzel rods and candy coatings in desired color and decoration combinations.
  6. Once thoroughly set, store the pretzel rods in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week, or longer if refrigerated.

Notes

  • Use different color combinations for variety.
  • Store in a cool place to maintain crunchiness.
