Ingredients
Scale
- 2 ribeye or sirloin steaks (8–10 ounces each)
- Salt and black pepper, to taste
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Salt, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped
Instructions
- Remove steaks from the refrigerator 30 minutes before cooking. Pat dry with paper towels and season generously with salt and black pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add steaks and sear for 3–4 minutes per side, depending on thickness and desired doneness. Remove from pan and let rest.
- Reduce heat to medium. Add butter and minced garlic to the same skillet and cook for about 30 seconds until fragrant. Spoon garlic butter over the resting steaks.
- In the same pan or a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add heavy cream and garlic powder, stirring gently. Bring to a light simmer.
- Gradually stir in Parmesan cheese until smooth and creamy. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Slice the steak if desired, drizzle with Parmesan cream sauce, garnish with parsley, and serve immediately.
