- 1 cup fresh lemon juice
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 cup hot water
- 4 to 5 cups cold water
- Ice cubes
- Lemon slices (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine 1 cup hot water and 1 cup sugar. Stir over medium heat until sugar is fully dissolved to make a simple syrup. Let it cool.
- Roll lemons on the counter, slice in half, and juice them until you get 1 cup of fresh lemon juice. Strain to remove seeds.
- In a large pitcher, mix the lemon juice and cooled syrup. Add 4 to 5 cups of cold water, adjusting to taste.
- Stir well and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Serve over ice and garnish with lemon slices or mint leaves.
- Optional: Add berries, herbs, or sparkling water for extra flair.
