  • 1 cup Sliced Beef/Chicken (Slice thinly for quick cooking.)
  • 2 large Eggs (Scramble them before mixing with rice; substitute with tofu for vegetarian option.)
  • 1/4 cup Japanese BBQ Sauce (Teriyaki sauce is a great alternative.)
  • 2 tablespoons Soy Sauce (Adjust to preference for deeper flavors.)
  • 3 cloves Garlic (Freshly minced for aromatic warmth.)
  • 1 cup Mixed Vegetables (Use a colorful mix of carrots, bell peppers, and peas.)
  • 1/4 cup Scallions (Provide garnish and can be used in the dish.)

Instructions

  1. Heat a tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat until shimmering.
  2. Add sliced beef or chicken and cook for about 4-5 minutes until browned and cooked through. Remove from skillet.
  3. Sauté minced garlic and mixed vegetables for 2-3 minutes until tender but vibrant.
  4. Push vegetables to one side and scramble the eggs in the cleared area for 1-2 minutes. Mix with vegetables.
  5. Add jasmine rice to the skillet in batches, mixing it with the vegetable and egg mixture for 3-4 minutes.
  6. Return the cooked meat to the skillet, drizzling with Japanese BBQ sauce and soy sauce. Stir for 2 minutes.
  7. Season with salt and pepper, cooking for another 2-3 minutes to meld flavors.
  8. Transfer fried rice to plates and garnish with scallions and toasted sesame seeds.
