- 2 cups cooked rice (white or brown)

- 1 avocado, sliced
- 2 green onions, chopped
- Sesame seeds for garnish
- Fresh cilantro for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Prepare the marinade: Whisk soy sauce, sesame oil, brown sugar, garlic, ginger, rice vinegar, and red pepper flakes in a bowl until sugar dissolves.
- Marinate the steak: Place flank steak in a bag or dish, pour marinade over it, and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, up to 4 hours.
- Cook the rice: Rinse rice, then cook according to package directions. Fluff and keep warm.
- Grill the steak: Heat a grill pan or outdoor grill to medium-high heat. Remove steak from marinade, discard marinade. Sear steak for 4-5 minutes per side, or until desired doneness (130°F for medium-rare).
- Rest and slice: Let steak rest for 5-10 minutes, then slice thinly against the grain.
- Assemble the bowls: Serve rice topped with sliced steak, kimchi, cucumber, carrots, and avocado. Garnish with green onions, sesame seeds, and cilantro.

- For enhanced flavor, marinate the steak for at least 2-4 hours. 30 minutes is sufficient for a good flavor infusion.
- Feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers, radishes, or cabbage.
- Brown rice offers a nutty flavor, while white rice is also suitable. Quinoa can be substituted for a gluten-free or higher-protein option.
