Description
These Milo oat biscuits are chewy, crunchy, and packed with nostalgic malted chocolate flavor. Perfect with a cup of tea or coffee, they’re simple to make and always a crowd favorite.

- 1 cup plain flour
- 1 cup rolled oats
- ¾ cup desiccated coconut
- ½ cup brown sugar, packed
- ½ cup Milo powder
- 125 grams butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons golden syrup
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 2 tablespoons hot water
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 160°C (320°F) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix flour, oats, coconut, brown sugar, and Milo.
- Melt the butter and stir in the golden syrup.
- Dissolve baking soda in hot water, then add to the butter mixture. Let it foam up.
- Pour wet mixture into dry ingredients and stir until a dough forms.
- Roll tablespoons of dough into balls, place on tray, and flatten slightly.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes until golden.
- Cool on tray for 5 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
