Description
One-Pan Creamy Parmesan Garlic Mushroom Chicken is a simple weeknight dinner. It features seared chicken in a rich garlic mushroom cream sauce.

- 2 large chicken breasts
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 4 garlic cloves, minced
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup freshly grated parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
Instructions
- Season chicken breasts on both sides with salt and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat and sear chicken until golden on both sides, about 5–6 minutes per side. Remove and set aside.
- Reduce heat to medium. Add butter to the same skillet, then stir in sliced mushrooms. Cook until tender and browned.
- Add minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
- Pour in chicken broth and scrape the bottom of the pan to deglaze.
- Stir in heavy cream and parmesan cheese. Let the sauce simmer and thicken slightly.
- Add Italian seasoning and adjust seasoning if needed.
- Return the chicken to the skillet and let it simmer in the sauce for about 5 minutes or until fully cooked through.
- Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- Serve with pasta or rice for a complete meal.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
