Ingredients

  • 1 can refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup or corn syrup
  • 8 whole pecans for garnish
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
  2. Unroll the crescent dough and separate it into triangles.
  3. In a small saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Add brown sugar, maple syrup, vanilla, and cinnamon. Stir until bubbling.
  4. Add chopped pecans and stir to coat. Remove from heat.
  5. Spoon a small amount of pecan filling onto the wide end of each triangle.
  6. Roll up each crescent from the wide end, tucking in the filling.
  7. Top each roll with a bit more filling and press a whole pecan on top.
  8. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until golden brown and glossy.
  9. Let cool for 5–10 minutes before serving.
