Description

This Pepperoni Dip with Cheese and Marinara is a creamy, savory appetizer perfect for parties or game days.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • ¾ cup sour cream
  • ¼ cup parmesan cheese, finely grated, divided
  • 1 ½ cups mozzarella cheese, grated
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¾ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¾ teaspoon onion powder
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ¾ cup marinara sauce
  • 14 slices pepperoni (between 1418 slices)

Instructions

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, and black pepper. Mix thoroughly until the mixture is smooth and well blended to evenly distribute the seasonings.
  2. Stir in the grated mozzarella cheese and half of the parmesan cheese (2 tablespoons) into the cream cheese mixture, reserving the rest of the parmesan for topping. Mix until all cheeses are fully incorporated.
  3. Spread the cheese mixture evenly into a small baking dish or oven-safe skillet. Spoon the marinara sauce carefully over the top of the cheese layer to cover it evenly.
  4. Place the pepperoni slices in a single layer over the marinara sauce, ensuring that each slice is visible and evenly spaced to allow for even cooking and slightly crisp edges.
  5. Sprinkle the remaining grated parmesan cheese over the pepperoni to add extra flavor and a golden finish when baked.
  6. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the baking dish in the oven and bake for 20 to 25 minutes, or until the dip is bubbly around the edges and the pepperoni has crisped to your liking.
  7. Remove from the oven and allow the dip to cool for a few minutes before serving. Serve with sliced baguette, crackers, or fresh vegetables for dipping.

Notes

  • This dip works well with various dippers like breadsticks or tortilla chips.
  • Adjust the amount of pepperoni according to your preference.
  • For a spicier version, add crushed red pepper flakes.
