Instructions

  3. Add the eggs one by one.
  4. Add the vanilla and almond extract.
  5. Incorporate the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  6. Add the ground pistachios.
  7. Add milk to achieve a soft dough.
  8. Add a few drops of green gel food coloring and mix until uniform.
  9. Pat the cherries dry to avoid sinking.
  10. Dust them lightly in flour.
  11. Gently fold them into the batter.
  12. Pour the batter into a greased loaf pan.
  13. Bake for 45–55 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  14. Allow to cool for 10 minutes before removing from the pan.
  15. Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla until thick yet pourable.
