Description
Create fun Rice Krispie Footballs for your next game day with this easy, no-bake recipe. These chewy treats are dipped in chocolate and decorated with white icing laces, making them a crowd-pleasing snack that scores big.
Ingredients

							Scale

			- 6 cups Rice Krispies cereal
 - 3 tbsp unsalted butter
 - 1 (10 oz) bag mini marshmallows
 - ½ tsp vanilla extract (optional)
 - 1½ cups semi-sweet chocolate chips or melting wafers
 - White icing or melted white chocolate (for laces)

Instructions
- Melt the butter in a large pot over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until smooth and fully melted. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
 - Add the Rice Krispies cereal to the marshmallow mixture and fold gently until all pieces are coated. Let the mixture cool for 2-3 minutes.
 - Lightly grease your hands with butter or cooking spray. Scoop portions of the mixture and shape them into football ovals. Place the shaped footballs onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
 - Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, using 30-second intervals and stirring between each, until smooth. Dip each Rice Krispie football into the melted chocolate, coating all sides, or spoon the chocolate over the top. Let excess chocolate drip off and place the coated footballs back onto the parchment paper.
 - Using a piping bag or a ziplock bag with a corner snipped off, pipe white icing or melted white chocolate onto each football to create laces.
 - Chill the Rice Krispie footballs in the refrigerator for 15-20 minutes, or until the chocolate coating is set.

Notes
- Grease or butter your hands well to prevent sticking when shaping the treats.
 - For a peanut butter variation, stir ½ cup of creamy peanut butter into the melted marshmallow mixture before adding the cereal.
 - Use colored candy melts instead of chocolate chips to match your favorite team’s colors.
 - Store the Rice Krispie footballs in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, or refrigerate for up to a week. Place parchment paper between layers if stacking.
