- 4 oz cream cheese (for frosting), softened
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter (for frosting), softened
- 1.5–2 cups powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (for frosting)
- Optional: red, green, and white sprinkles
Instructions
- In a large bowl, beat the butter, cream cheese, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the egg and vanilla extract, mixing until fully combined.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add the dry mixture to the wet ingredients and mix until a soft dough forms.
- Cover the dough and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes.
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Scoop the dough onto the prepared sheet, spacing cookies 2 inches apart.
- Bake for 10–12 minutes, until edges are set but not browned. Let cool completely.
- For the frosting, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth and creamy.
- Gradually add powdered sugar and vanilla extract, beating until spreadable.
- Frost cooled cookies and decorate with sprinkles if desired.
