Ingredients
- 10–12 cloves Fresh Garlic, peeled
 - 1 cup Vinegar (White wine vinegar or apple cider vinegar)
 - 1 cup Water
 - 2 tablespoons Non-iodized Salt
 - 1–2 teaspoons Red Pepper Flakes (adjust to taste)
 - 1 tablespoon Sugar (optional)
 - 1 clean, sterilized jar
 
Instructions
- Peel the garlic cloves. Remove any damaged or brown pieces. Rinse and pat dry.
 - Pack the peeled garlic cloves tightly into a sterilized jar.
 - In a medium pot, combine vinegar, water, salt, and red pepper flakes.
 - Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring until it boils and the salt dissolves.
 - Carefully pour the hot brine over the garlic in the jar, ensuring all cloves are submerged.
 - Seal the jar and let it cool at room temperature for about 30 minutes.
 - Refrigerate the jar for at least 48 hours before serving.
 - Serve your spicy pickled garlic with meals or as a snack.
