- 1 lb ground beef or turkey
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1 large egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup onion, grated
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 12 oz spaghetti noodles
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 6 slices mozzarella cheese
- 6 black olives, sliced into rounds
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, mix ground meat, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, onion, salt, pepper, and Italian seasoning until just combined.
- Shape into meatballs (about 1.5 inches each) and place on the baking sheet.
- Bake meatballs for 15–18 minutes until cooked through and browned.
- Meanwhile, cook spaghetti noodles according to package instructions. Drain and toss with marinara sauce.
- Remove meatballs from oven and place a slice of mozzarella on each while warm.
- Optionally return to oven for 2–3 minutes to fully melt cheese into a ghostly shape.
- Press two olive slices onto each meatball to form eyes.
- Arrange meatballs on top of the spaghetti and serve immediately for spooky fun!
