Description
This refreshing Strawberry Sparkler Mocktail is a light and fruity beverage perfect for any occasion.
Ingredients
- Fresh Blueberries – 1/2 cup
- Fresh Strawberries (chopped) – 1/2 cup
- Water – as needed to fill ice cube trays
- Strawberries (fresh or frozen) – 1 1/2 cups
- Water – 1 cup
- Maple Syrup – 1/4 cup (optional for sweetness, can substitute honey or coconut sugar)
- Sparkling Water – 2 cups
- Lemon Juice – 1 tablespoon
- Strawberry Syrup Puree – 1/2 cup
Instructions
- Rinse the blueberries and chop the strawberries into small pieces. Place equal amounts of blueberries and chopped strawberries into each compartment of an ice cube tray. Fill the trays with water and freeze until solid, at least 4 hours.
- Combine 1 1/2 cups of strawberries and 1 cup of water in a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth. Pour the puree into a saucepan and heat over medium heat. Stir in 1/4 cup maple syrup (or your preferred sweetener) and bring to a gentle simmer for about 5 minutes to thicken slightly. Let the syrup cool completely before using.
- In a serving glass, add 1/2 cup of the cooled strawberry syrup puree. Add the fresh lemon juice, then slowly pour in 2 cups of sparkling water to retain the fizz. Stir gently to combine.
- Add several berry ice cubes to the glass to keep the drink chilled and visually appealing. Serve immediately with a straw or garnish with an extra strawberry slice if desired.
Notes
- Adjust sweetness by varying the amount of maple syrup.
- You can use frozen strawberries if fresh ones are not available.
