Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.
  2. In a separate bowl, cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until the mixture is light and fluffy.
  3. Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
  4. Gradually add the flour mixture to the creamed butter and sugar, mixing until just combined.
  5. Divide the dough into two discs, wrap in plastic wrap, and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
